Seabright
Simple solutions to access complex data in remote settings
Seabright
Seabright develops technologies to access high-content data from samples collected in the real world. These samples aim at monitoring users, patients, and their environment to bring personalized insights on the evolution of disease and the effects of environmental exposures on health. Seabright is founded by a team from and technologies developed at the University of Washington with the goal of reducing barriers to obtaining high-content and reliable data.
homeRNA and homeStable products
The homeStable platform was designed to stabilize home-collected blood samples across a wide range of temperatures using liquid stabilizer reagents. Seabright offers turn-key solutions for transcriptomics with the homeRNA platform. Tailored solutions with other liquid reagents are in development using homeStable to meet any specific biomarker needs.
homeRNA
homeRNA makes decentralized RNA endpoints easy and reliable. The kit includes a virtually painless, patient-centric, blood collection device and a liquid-stabilization shipping solution for high-temperature, robust return logistics.
homeStable
homeStable is a platform for virtually painless blood collection in a decentralized manner and tailored liquid stabilization for return shipping that meets the needs for specific omics biomarkers.
Clinical research services
The team of Seabright comprises experts in decentralized clinical research with experience in designing and performing at-home studies. The goal and mission of Seabright is to unlock the ability to measure the dynamics of biomarkers before, during, and after medication delivery, environmental exposures, or other events that may affect human health. The team has developed robust clinical operations procedures and analytical endpoints to deliver the most accurate and reliable omic picture.
At-home transcriptomics
Implementing longitudinal endpoints in clinical studies can be challenging for the operations teams, and the increased number of samples can be costly. Seabright has developed a customizable longitudinal at-home sample collection and analysis service that includes (1) the ability to perform all sample management from shipping, participant interactions, and sample management, and (2) partnerships with key technologies to facilitate the data analysis for longitudinal samples while reducing cost-per-datapoint.
Endpoint validations
Seabright has experience helping partners generate the validation data to bridge current in-clinic venous endpoints to the at-home Seabright solution. Seabright has IRB writing, subject recruitment, blood collection, and sample processing capabilities to support a simple expansion implementation of patient-centric solutions.
Sample collection technologies in development
Seabright is developing technologies to collect high-quality samples that are relevant to determining drivers of health, in particular around environmental exposures. Products that will be soon available include a new generation saliva sample collection and environmental air sample collection.
CandyCollect
CandyCollect is a patient-friendly saliva collection platform designed for pediatric and sensitive populations that enables high-quality isolation of analytes from saliva.
homeAir
homeAir is a next generation environmental air sample collection unit that enables a high-quality collection of air particulates to be capture in a liquid stabilization reagent.
